Google Maps Street View

Google Street View is a feature of Google Maps and Google Earth that provides for many streets in the world 360 degree panoramic views from a row of positions along the street (one in every 10 or 20 meters, or so), from a height of about two meters. To see how it works within the Waukesha County Viewer, follow the steps below:

  1. Click the External Viewers Tool
  2. Click a point on the map. (Google maps will open in a new window)
  3. If a blue outlined street is available, click it with the hand icon. (A panoramic window will open)
  4. Click and drag to pan the camera. Click the arrows on the road centerline to move along the road
